Wuhou Tomb (Chinese: 武侯墓) is located at the foot of Mount Dingjun (定軍山) in Shaanxi province (陝西), China. The tomb is the eternal resting place for Zhuge Liang (諸葛亮; 181–234), a Chinese politician and military strategist in the Three Kingdoms period.
Wuhou Tomb looks simple and unadorned, surrounded by many old cedars and is still insulated from the pollution of the modern buildings. It is said that this place was isolated during the Cultural Revolution, so it could evade the destruction by the Red Guards.
Besides the buildings, the decorations and the statues inside the buildings are also antique.
The statue of Zhuge Liang was made in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it was said that the actor who played Zhuge Liang had came here to see the true appearance of Zhuge Liang.
The burial mound is right behind the main temple, it is enclosed inside white marble railing, the railing is carved with the picture of the life of Zhuge Liang, looks like the comic strips of Romance of the Three Kingdoms (三國演義).
Wuhou Tomb doesn’t have many tourists, so Choumeizai can enjoy the serenity here and imagine the heroic glow of Zhuge Liang.
