Kuanhouli (Chinese: 寬厚里) is an antique shopping street located in the center of Jinan City (濟南市), Shandong Province (山東省), China. With a length of about 400 meters, Kuanhouli has a history of more than 400 years and has become a famous tourist attraction.
There is a famous chestnut shop in Kuanhouli. It is said that their fried chestnuts are very famous, and there are often long queues outside the shop.
Shandong's donkey meat is well-known in China, so Choumeizai also tries a plate of spiced donkey meat. Donkey meat tastes like beef, but it is slightly tender and delicious.
There are many pubs in Kuanhouli, so nighttime is the prime time in Kuanhouli. Many shops have not opened for business in the daytime, the street looks so deserted.
Kuanhouli is not very big, and there are not many special shops. If you don’t drink or eat here, you can finish it in about 30 minutes.
Jiefang Pavilion (解放閣) is next to Kuanhouli. It is said that in 1948, the People's Liberation Army entered Jinan from here to "liberate" the whole city.
