Harbin (Manchu: ᡥᠠᠯᠪᡳᠨ; Chinese: 哈爾濱) is the provincial capital of Heilongjiang (黑龍江) province, China. Harbin is heralded as the Ice City (冰城) for its well-known winter tourism, winter swimming performance is one of the popular tourist attractions.
The Songhua River (松花江) is frozen in winter, so the swimmers need to dig a swimming pool on the surface of the frozen ice.
