Gili Islands (Indonesian: Tiga Gili) are an archipelago located just off the northwest coast of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Scuba diving around Gilis is common, Choumeizai will introduce Turtle Heaven, one of the popular diving sites of Gili Islands.
Turtle Heaven is very close to the beach of Gili Meno. There is a wide continental shelf, and divers can gradually adapt to the water pressure.
The camouflage of these two little shrimps is almost perfect. If the dive master hasn’t pointed them out, Choumeizai can only see ordinary seaweed.
As the name suggests, turtles are the protagonists of Turtle Heaven.
The turtles here are not afraid of people, and even if Choumeizai swims close, they won’t flee immediately.
Although the turtles are endangered in Indonesia, the inhabitants of some remote islands in Indonesia still have the habit of eating turtle eggs.
The coral reefs in Turtle Heaven have been damaged, but fortunately it is not too serious. Most of the coral reefs are still colorful and beautiful like gems.
