Donggang Hua Qiao Market(東港華僑市場) is located in Pingtung County of Taiwan, there are a lot of Sashimi(刺身) restaurant in the market, all look the same so it is difficult to choose, Choumeizai eats at this restaurant for only one reason: the beautiful smile of the waitress.
The restaurant does not have many seats, but clean and comfortable, it is surrounded by other seafood shops, full of the atmosphere of fishing port.
Choumeizai orders salmon roes as an appetizer, the fish roes are all crystal clear, savory and juicy, totally different from those in Hong Kong.
Prawn sashimi is very clean, you don’t need to worry about food safety, the flesh is tasty and springy, while the head is still filled with the juicy fat, which means the prawn is extremely fresh, Choumeizai no longer want to eat sashimi in Hong Kong.
The salmon miso soup looks normal, since it is boiled with plenty of ingredients, the soup is full of the flavor of the ocean.
It is the season of toro, Choumeizai won’t miss it, the flesh is incredibly soft, it melts once you put it in your mouth, tasty like being in heaven.
It costs only 800TWD for such an excellent meal, much cheaper than Choumeizai expects. Up till now, even only thinking of their water-licking sashimi, Choumeizai cannot help drooling.
