Dongshih Hakka Cultural Park (Chinese: 東勢客家文化園) is located in Dongshi District (東勢區), Taichung City (台中市), Taiwan. The residents of Dongshi District are mainly Hakka people, and many Hakka culture and customs are still preserved.
Dongshi Hakka Cultural Park is converted from an old railway station, preserving the English-style red brick structure, which is very distinctive.
Dongshi Hakka Cultural Park does not have any entrance fee. Even if you are not interested in Hakka culture, it is good to have a rest here.
Dongshi Hakka Cultural Park has an exhibition hall, which displays a variety of Hakka cultural relics and introduces the life, culture and customs of the local Hakka people.
It's a pity that the exhibition hall is too dark, it would be better if there was more light.
There is a shop next to the exhibition hall, selling products of the Dongshi Hakka community, in addition to agricultural products and handicrafts, there are also processed goods such as soap.
The railway of Dongshi District has been out of service for a long time, but tourists can still ride on the small sightseeing train.
Dongshi Hakka Cultural Park has a big lawn, outdoor concerts are held here from time to time.
