Cheung Chau (Chinese: 長洲) is an island 10 kilometers southwest of Hong Kong Island. There are many delicacies in Cheung Chau, and Choimeizai will introduce the satay beef macaroni and nostalgic dim sum on the island.
The restaurant is located in a food court, and is well-known for their satay beef macaroni. The macaroni here is different from the usual macaroni. According to the owner, the macaroni is made of rice, and the taste is more tough.
The portion is big. Although there is not much beef, the satay sauce is very rich. The more you eat, the more delicious it is.
French toast is ready-to-fry and hot, with thick peanut butter inside, and it is best served with condensed milk.
Tung Kee Noodle Restaurant (陳通記) Address: 7-12 Tai Hing Tai Rd, Cheung Chau, Hong Kong Tel.: 2981 8877
This restaurant is located opposite Cheung Chau Pier. All customers need to choose their favorite dim sum at the entrance first, then take the food back to their seats.
The dim sum here may not look as good as those in the big restaurant, but all taste is very good. Choumeizai likes chicken wrap (雞札) and curry squid the most.
The restaurant is small and looks a little dirty, and the greasy floor is quite disturbing, but then again, this kind of environment can be regarded as nostalgia.
