Cuihua Mountain (Chinese: 翠華山) is in the northern part of the Qinling (秦嶺) Mountains, 20 kilometers from downtown Xian (西安), Shaanxi (陝西) Province, China. As a part of Zhongnanshan (終南山) National Forest Park, Cuihua Mountain has been recommended as one of the top ten attractions in Xian.
Although Cuihua Mountain is very popular amongst the locals, it is not overdeveloped and still well preserved.
The hiking trails in Cuihua Mountain are paved with flagstone, beautiful and easy for tourists. At the foot of the mountain there are many small restaurants, the food here is cheap but looks quite dirty.
The best time to visit Cuihua Mountain is spring, it is not too hot and too cold, and wildflowers are everywhere.
Cuihua Mountain had long been the royal garden or hunting ground in several dynasties, which has a history of over 2,000 years.
Having experienced many devastating earthquakes in the past, Cuihua Mountain features unique landslide formations and becomes a famous geopark in Shaanxi Province.
The scenic area of Cuihua Mountain provides transport to the top of the mountain, but Choumeizai doesn’t want to miss the beauty on the way and prefers walking.
