Mount Siguniang (Chinese: 四姑娘山) is located in Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture (阿壩藏族羌族自治州), Sichuan (四川) Province, China. Changping Valley (長平溝) is part of Mount Siguniang, Choumeizai will talk about Withered-Tree Beach (枯樹灘).
No vehicle is allowed in Changping Valley, all tourists need to walk on their own feet.
If you don’t walk by your own feet, you can ride on a horse, of course it is not free.
Mount Siguniang is renowned for its beauty. Mount Siguniang National Park was identified as a UNESCO Heritage Site as part of Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries in 2006.
The walkway is built along the stream and surrounded by dense forest, so the air is extremely clean and fresh.
However, when Choumeizai reaches the intersection of the walkway and the horseway, the smell of horse poo is everywhere.
It takes around 1 hour to walk from the main entrance to Withered-Tree Beach. Changping Valley is over 3,000 meters above sea level, just walk slowly.
Withered-Tree Beach is a wild riverbed with clear waters and numerous tall withered-trees pointing to the sky. It is almost sunset so Choumeizai cannot see the reflection of the mountains.
