Yushan National Park (Chinese: 玉山國家公園) is located in the center of Taiwan. The park covers a total area of 103,121 hectares that includes Yushan (玉山), the highest peak of Taiwan. Choumeizai has visited the edge of the park and got a glimpse of its beauty.
This area is the homeland of the Tataka tribe, the aborigines in Taiwan's high mountains, so the observation decks here are designed like stone cottages of the Tataga tribe.
The weather is clear when Choumeizai visits, the scenery is very beautiful.
Husband and Wife Sacred Tree (夫妻樹) is one of the famous sacred trees in Taiwan. It is located near the entrance to Yushan Mountain.
These two trees are actually two dead red cypress trees. The two trees were still standing after a forest fire in 1963, just like a couple who survived the disaster.
Yushan National Park contains more than thirty peaks over 3,000 metres in elevation, the elevation difference in the park is 3,600 metres, and there are many canyons, cliffs, and valleys.
Yushan National Park is a paradise for wild animals. On the road, Choumeizai encounters the lovely wild macaques in Alishan.
