Sheung Wan (Chinese: 上環) can be considered as the commercial area in Hong Kong, although the rent is quite high, there is a good but not pricey dim sum restaurant which has been awarded Michelin one star, costs around 50 Hong Kong Dollars per person, it is worth recommending.
All dim sum are steamed to order, so you need to wait at least 10 minutes, more time for better food, it is fair.
The Rice Chicken(Chinese: 糯米雞) seems normal, but stuffed with quality ingredients, Choumeizai is so impressed with the big mushroom and bacon, which enhance the taste and add more layers.
Since it is steamed to order, it is still hot and juicy inside the Rice Chicken, as an authoritative dim sum tasting specialist, Choumeizai asserts that this is the best Rice Chicken in Hong Kong.
Thick mushroom, springy fish maw, tasty chicken thigh...you can imagine how delicious is their Chicken Roll (Chinese: 雞紮). Even better, they use Chinese yam instead of taro, which makes it sweet and juicy.
Since Choumeizai has eaten in Tim Ho Wan, he doesn’t dare to try the Crispy BBQ Pork Bun (Chinese:雪山叉燒包) of the other dim sum shop, but the buns here surprise Choumeizai, crispy outside but hot and juicy inside, as good as those in Tim Ho Wan.
Unexpectedly, their Soup Dumplings (Chinese: 小籠包) are also excellent, the pork soup inside the bread skin is dense and tasty, the pork taste stays in your mouth forever.
This restaurant is very popular, you need to line up during the mealtime, better visit there at tea time.
