Phi Phi Islands (Thai: หมู่เกาะพีพี) are an island group in Thailand between the large island of Phuket and the Straits of Malacca coast of Thailand. Ko Phi Phi Leh (เกาะพีพีเล) is the second largest island of Phi Phi Islands, and Viking Cave is one of the most notable sites on the island.
Viking Cave owes its name to the paintings found on the walls of the cave which represent various types of boats, including Viking ships. The cave is a location of harvesting and collecting edible bird’s nests, no tourist is allowed to go in.
Monkey Bay is not too far from Viking Cave, it takes around 5 minutes to get there, by boat of course.
There are so many monkeys (macaques) hanging on the cliff, Choumeizai throws several bananas at them, but all fall into the sea.
Don’t worry, all monkeys are excellent swimmers, they can get the bananas from the sea.
Monkey Bay is also one of the popular snorkeling spots of Phi Phi Islands, but most of the corals are dead, you can only play with the fishes.
