Jianshui Swallow Cave (Chinese: 建水燕子洞) is located in the Lujiang River Valley, 20 kilometers east of Jianshui (建水) County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture (紅河哈尼族彝族自治州), Yunnan (雲南) Province, China. Jianshui Swallow Cave is known for its karst topography.
Same as many other karst caves of China, Jianshui Swallow Cave is also decorated with colorful spotlights, not natural anymore.
The peak season of the cave is between March to September, many swallows will perch and breed in the cave during that period.
The scenery inside Jianshui Swallow Cave is magnificent, but after a while, you will find that they all look the same.
The deepest part of the cave is called ‘Fairyland’, but the scenery still looks the same as before, nothing special.
By the way, Jianshui Swallow Cave is still beautiful and the admission is not expensive, it is still worth seeing if you like karst cave.
There is a big recreation area inside the cave, you can go shopping, eating or even playing video games here.
