West Lake (Chinese: 西湖) is a freshwater lake in Hangzhou (杭州), Zhejiang (浙江) China. West Lake is the most popular lake in China, the scenery is everywhere, Choumeizai is so glad to see a beautiful sunset in West Lake during winter.
The sunlight looks tired at around 4 o’clock in the afternoon, the clouds in the sky, the shadows of the willow and the reflection of the lake compose a beautiful picture.
Leifeng Pagoda (雷鋒塔) is a five story tall tower with eight sides located at the south of the West Lake. Leifeng Pagoda originally constructed in the year AD 975 but had collapsed in 1924. The one standing now is just a replica.
Perhaps the sunlight is still strong, the winter here is not as cold as Choumeizai expects.
Although West Lake is a so-called ‘free tourist spot’, some areas are still ‘prohibited’, you need to pay if you want to get in.
