There is one little known bakery in the area of Plaza de la Villa in central Madrid, named El Jardin del Convento, it can absolutely be described as a 'hidden gem'.
The bakery is part of a monastery named Monasterio del Corpus Christi, the shop front is not conspicuous, but the decoration is lovely and cute.
All products from the shop are handmade by nuns in traditional ways, with abundant conscience and excellent quality.
Perhaps the nuns don't want to show up, the shopkeeper is a smiley and passionate guy, sweeter than the desserts in the shop.
Since the price of the chocolate is reasonable, Choumeizai buys one, but later finds out that it is 'buy one get one free', so cheap!
Besides chocolate, they also have homemade pastries and jam, since there is no tasting, Choumeizai doesn't know how those taste.
Choumeizai finds out afterwards that the quality of the chocolate is excellent, it tastes milky and rich.
OMG!Choumeizai should buy more…...
