Sipadan (Malay: Pulau Sipadan) is the only oceanic island in Malaysia, rising 600 metres from the seabed. It is located in the Celebes Sea off the east coast of Sabah, Malaysia. Sipadan is the paradise of scuba diving, it’s underwater scenery is incredibly beautiful.
There are a lot of diving sites around Sipadan, such as Barracuda Point, The Drop-Off, Hanging Gardens, South Point and Turtle Cavern.
The water around Sipadan is extremely clear, and the coral reef is colorful, what a wonderful underwater garden!
No residence is allowed on the island, there are only some simple structures and facilities such as canopy, toilet and shower.
The beach of Sipadan is immaculate, you can’t see any garbage, and some areas are strictly prohibited for trespassing.
The permits issued for visiting Sipadan are limited, so if you want to enjoy the beauty of Sipadan, you need to book it as early as possible.
