Omicho Market (Japanese: 近江町市場) is a market located in the center of Kanazawa (金澤) City, Ishikawa (石川) Prefecture. Dubbed as ‘Kitchen of Kanazawa people’, the market has around 170 stores, some of them are restaurants, and this is the most popular one.
Both the exterior and interior design of the shop look nostalgic. The restaurant has English menus, so even if you don't understand Japanese, you can still order without any difficulty.
Omicho salad has salmon sashimi, crab roe and vegetables. The salmon sashimi is very fresh, and all ingredients are well matched, a very good appetizer.
Omicho set meal is the most popular set meal in the restaurant. The ingredients are all from the fresh seafood in the market, which is full of the taste of the ocean. Choimeizai especially likes sea urchin.
