Lake Barrine is a freshwater lake on Atherton Tableland of Far North Queensland, Australia. Lake Barrine was formed over 17,000 years ago by volcano eruption. The scenery of Lake Barrine is excellent, so is the scone.
There is a small restaurant on the lakeside, perhaps the environment around here is peaceful and beautiful, the scones and the tea they serve are incredibly delicious.
Tourists can join the cruises or walk around the lake by the forest trail, Choumeizai chooses walking.
There are two big giant kauris (Agathis microstachya) along the trail, they are so old that their roots have fossilized, hard as rock.
Wild birds are everywhere, but most of them are hiding behind the bushes, you need to feel them by your ears, because their chirping is sweet.
It takes at least one and a half hours to go around the lake, if you do not have much time, you would better take the cruise.
