Longkeng Ecological Protection Area (Chinese: 龍坑生態保護區) is located at the southwest cape of Hengchun Peninsula (恆春半島), Taiwan. Longkeng is part of Kenting National Park (墾丁國家公園), it limits the numbers of tourists to 200 per day, every tourist needs to register before going in.
Longkeng faces to Pacific Ocean, even though it is still far from the seashore, Choumeizai can feel the power of the ocean.
The ecological environment of Longkeng is tough and special, so the plants grown here are different from anywhere in Taiwan, most of them are rootless and hairy.
Tourists can walk around Longkeng by the wooden walkway which can access to the seashore, but the wind is extremely strong, mind your steps.
It is snowing, but it is not the real snow but the splash caused by the wave, don’t let those ‘snow’ touch your mouth, it is very salty.
The canyon in Longkeng is rugged and barren, and there are no other people, Choumeizai feels that he is exploring another planet in outer space.
Since the wind is mixed with seawater, you must wash yourself with fresh water after visiting, or else your skin will be drained by the salt.
