Mae Wang (Thai: แม่วาง) is a district in the central part of Chiang Mai province in northern Thailand. Mae Wang has been isolated for many years and has preserved large tracts of primitive mountain forests. Choumeizai has stayed here for two nights in an eco resort.
Since the theme of the resort is “natural environment”, the living condition is of course not comparable to that of luxury hotels, but basic facilities such as toilets and bathrooms are still available.
The resort is located deep in the mountains, and as long as there is light at night, it will attract a large number of flying ants, so Choumeizai turns off the lights and goes to bed immediately once it gets dark.
Since the resort is surrounded by green forest, the air here is excellent, Choumeizai sleeps very well.
The resort provides meals and the food is far better than expected, including vegetables, meat and fruits to ensure a balanced nutrition.
Most of the ingredients come from the organic farm next to the resort, no wonder why the foods are so delicious.
There is a small bar made of wood and leaves in the resort, which is natural and lovely.
Each hut has its own solar photovoltaic panel on the roof, the collected solar energy will be stored in a car battery and provide electricity at night.
