Tabin Wildlife Reserve (Malay: Taman Hidupan Liar Tabin) is located in the eastern part of Sabah, Malaysia, on the island of Borneo. The reserve comprises an area of approximately 468 square kilometers, Choumeizai has seen some interesting animals during night safari.
Lesser mouse-deer (Tragulus kanchil), also known as lesser Malay chevrotain, is a species of mouse-deer found widely across Southeast Asia.
Lesser mouse-deer is the smallest known hoofed mammal, its mature size being as little as 45 centimeters and 2 kilograms, it is threatened by predation by feral dogs.
Kingfisher is a small to medium-sized, brightly colored bird in the order Coraciiformes. It has large heads, long, sharp, pointed bills, short legs, and stubby tails.
Bat is a nocturnal animal, so it is normal to find it at night. This is a sleeping baby bat, Choumeizai doesn’t want to disturb it so he takes the photos quietly.
The insects in Borneo are extremely large, Choumeizai has seen a cricket which is as big as the size of an adult palm, it is singing happily under the pale moonlight.
Flying squirrel (Pteromyini or Petauristini) is a kind of squirrel. It is not capable of flying as birds or bats but is able to glide from one tree to another with the aid of a parachute-like membrane.
