Asiatique The Riverfront is a large open-air mall in Bangkok, Thailand. It occupies the former docks of the East Asiatic Company, and faces the Chao Phraya River (Thai: แม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา). The complex opened in 2012 after extensive renovation of the site.
The transportation to the mall is very convenient, you can take the BTS to Saphan Taksin station, then walk to Sathorn Pier (ท่าสาทร) to take a free shuttle boat.
The mall, featuring a historical theme from the period of King Chulalongkorn's reign (1868–1910), operates as an open-air night market.
There are many high-end restaurants in Asiatique The Riverfront. The price of the food is very high, but it is still very popular.
The square is full of street performers, and the ambience is very lively.
Most of the shops in Asiatique The Riverfront are small shops, and the goods sold are quite distinctive, which cannot be found in general large shopping malls in Bangkok.
There is a big food court in the mall, which offers a variety of authentic Thai food, but the food price is not much different from that of high-end restaurants.
There is a taxi stand at the mall, the staff of the taxi stand will record the taxi license plate to ensure the safety of tourists, which is very considerate.
