The height of the summit (known as Low's Peak) of Mountain Kinabalu (Malay: Gunung Kinabalu) is 4,095 metres above sea level, which is the highest mountain in Borneo and Malaysia, the scenery is incredibly splendid, a place must come once in a lifetime.
Since Choumeizai has joined Via Ferrata, he needs to start at 2am from Pendant Hut.
From Pendant Hut to Low's Peak, you need to climb 2km, since it is dark and the last part of the climb is bare granite rock, Choumeizai takes 3 hours to get to the summit.
The summit doesn’t have much space, but everyone who gets there wants to stay long and makes it very crowded.
British colonial administrator Hugh Low made the first recorded ascent of Mount Kinabalu's summit plateau in March 1851 and named it Low's Peak.
There is a metal plate standing on the summit, which is a good place to take photos and make records. Choumeizai also asks someone to take photos for him.
Sunrise is not as beautiful as Choumeizai expects, but the view is incredibly beautiful on the way back.
The granite ground is surrounded by several majestic rocky hills, looks like an outdoor cathedral with blue sky as its ceiling, you will feel how great nature is but how small humans are.
Kinabalu south peak is the most beautiful amongst all peaks without any question, its spiral shape and scalelike appearance are impressive, after you have seen this, you will know what ‘marvelous’ means.
