Amanohashidate (Japanese: 天橋立) is located next to the Sea of Japan, the scenery is beautiful and the onsen is also great. Monjuso is a luxurious hotel next to Amanohashidate, the room is not big but very cozy.
The staffer will serve a free snack named ‘Cake of Wisdom’ (智惠の餅) once you have dropped down the luggage, you can have some thick green tea after snack.
There is a dissection puzzle in the room, looks simple but actually very difficult. After 15 minutes, Choumeizai can manage to make one pattern only.
The common bath of Monjuso is not so big, but it is peaceful and not so many people, you can really enjoy the onsen.
The bed is ready after bath, there is drinking water, a torch and a pine leaf on the tea table, it is said that the pine leaf can bring you good fortune.
No people in the common bath in the morning, Choumeizai can own the whole onsen and enjoy the autumn view around the bath.
Monjuso is very close to the train station, both room and food are in excellent quality, it is good value for money.
