Hexi Corridor (Chinese: 河西走廊), also known as Gansu Corridor (甘肅走廊), is an important historical region located in the modern western Gansu (甘肅) province of China, referring to a narrow stretch of traversable and relatively arable plain west of the Yellow River.
There is overnight train between Lanzhou (蘭州) and Dunhuang (敦煌), the whole journey is around 14 hour long.
When Choimeizai wakes up, it is already 6 in the morning, outside the train is boundless Gobi Desert.
Gobi Desert (Mongolian: ᠭᠣᠪᠢ) is a large desert or brushland region in East Asia. It covers parts of Northern and Northeastern China and of Southern Mongolia.
Gobi Desert is bounded by the Hexi Corridor and Tibetan Plateau to the southwest, it is notable in history as the location of several important cities along the Silk Road.
This journey ends at Dunhuang, it is an important city along the Silk Road, and also the western end of Hexi Corridor in Gansu province.
