The Museum of the Imperial Palace of Manchukuo (Chinese: 偽滿皇宮博物院) is located in Changchun (長春) City, Jilin (吉林) Province, China. The palace was divided into an inner court and outer court, the inner court is the royal residence of Puyi (溥儀).
Jixi Building (緝熙樓) was the Russian-style private living quarters for the Emperor and his immediate family.
Jixi Building contained Puyi's bedroom, reading room, the family hall, Buddhist chapel and the separate quarters for Empress Wan Rong (婉容) and the other concubines.
All decorations and furniture inside are European style, totally different from Puyi’s previous residence, the Forbidden City (紫禁城) in Beijing.
Empress Wan Rong was opium addicted, so there was a room tailored for her need.
Unfortunately, Jixi Building was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, all furniture inside are remakes.
There is a room showing old photos about Puyi. You will know how beautiful Empress Wan Rong was, that’s why Puyi loved her and hated her so much.
