The Kanbula National Geological Park is located at Jainca County (Chinese: 尖札縣), Huangnan Prefecture (黃南州), Qinghai (青海), China. The park is beautiful but huge, and tourists need to take shuttle buses to reach the scenic spots inside.
Besides Lijiaxia Reservoir (李家峽水庫), Kanbula National Geological Park is also famous for its Danxia landform. It takes more than one hour to reach there from the entrance of the park.
The Danxia landform (丹霞地貌) in Kanbula National Geological Park is more beautiful and splendid than the one in Guangdong, and there are fewer tourists here, which makes it look cleaner and natural.
The lookout point is located on top of a hill; however, the entrance of the trail was blocked by a rope, so Choumeizai skipped it.
The Danxia landform refers to the various landscapes found in southeast, southwest and northwest of China that ‘consist of a red bed of steep looking cliffs’. Endogenous forces and exogenous forces created these magnificent formations.
The Danxia landform is only a tiny part of the Kanbula National Geological Park, if you want to visit the whole park, I'm afraid it will take over a week to see them all.
