The Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park (Malay: Taman Negara Tunku Abdul Rahman) is the first marine national park in Malaysia, it comprises a group of 5 islands including Mamutik located offshore Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, and is a popular tourist attraction.
Mamutik is the smallest island of the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, despite being the smallest, the island offers some good beaches and coral reefs which attracts many tourists, so the facilities on the island are quite complete.
Many hawkers are selling various activities on the island, but all are quite expensive, Choumeizai hasn’t played any.
Mamutik is one of the popular spots for snorkeling in Kota Kinabalu, the water is crystal clear with countless fishes. Perhaps the fishes are so used to human beings, they are not scared and swim around Choumeizai.
However, the snorkeling area is not big, good for kids, but not enough for adults.
There is a hiking trail around the island, not difficult to hike, an ideal place to enjoy the beauty of nature. The scenery is nice but there are many mosquitos on the way, so you must take some precautions.
Departing from the jetties of Kota Kinabalu, it takes only 15 minutes to go to Mamutik, it is very convenient for tourists, no wonder it is so popular.
