Hani Rice Terraces (Chinese: 哈尼梯田) means the rice terraces developed by Hani people (哈尼族), an ethnic group in Southern China. The core area of the terraces is located in Yuanyang County (元陽縣) of Yunnan Province (雲南), so Hani Rice Terraces named Yuanyang Rice Terraces (元陽梯田) also.
Eagle beak (老鷹嘴) is one of the ideal locations to view Hani Rice Terraces, especially in the evening. Eagle Beak is quite desolate but many photographers still manage to get here.
Viewing from Eagle Beak, the rice terraces look like shiny fish scales, the scenery is amazingly beautiful.
Since it is not an official tourist spot, there is no railing by the cliff, be careful while you are taking photos.
The weather today is excellent, but it is a bit too clean for Choumeizai, it will be perfect if there are some clouds in the sky.
