Niseko (Japanese: ニセコ) is a town located in Shiribeshi Subprefecture (虻田郡), Hokkaido, Japan. There are many ski hotels around Niseko Ski Resort, the hotel where Choumeizai stays is located next to the ski resort, quite remote but far from the hustle and bustle.
The room is not big, but the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is clean. The hotel's free Wi-Fi is slow and disconnected from time to time.
The hotel has two hot spring baths, the indoor one is quite small but the outdoor one is very spacious.
The restaurant has floor-to-ceiling glass on three sides, giving you a panoramic view of the snow mountains. The food in the buffet breakfast is very delicious.
The hotel has its own ski center, the equipment is very new, and the rental fee is reasonable. The ski center has staff from different countries, and there are ski instructors who can speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
The hotel provides free shuttle buses to Hirafu (比羅夫) and Niseko train stations, convenient for guests to go shopping.
There is a small convenience store in the hotel, selling snacks and local products. Choumeizai especially likes the ice cream from Miruku Koubou (ミルク工房), which is smooth and delicious.
