The Great Barrier Reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia, it is the world's largest coral reef system composed of over 2,900 individual reefs, Norman Reef is amongst the most popular one.
Norman Reef is not far from Cairns, it takes around 1 hour to get there by boat, amongst all individual reefs, it is the most accessible one.
The seawater around Norman Reef is extremely clear, the visibility is excellent, also the sunlight is strong, even though snorkeling, the view is already colorful.
Still image has its limitations, only video can show how splendid the Great Barrier Reef is.
The coral is beautiful, but there are not so many fishes, the most impressive is triggerfish, don’t get too close, it bites.
