Osaka Castle (Japanese: 大阪城) is one of Japan's most famous landmarks, the Osaka Castle Park (Japanese: 大阪城公園) next to it is an ideal place for cherry blossom and plum blossom in spring, but the park is also beautiful in autumn.
The red leaves in the park are not so ‘brilliant’, but the park is very big with a large variety of plants, it’s already enjoyable even though you are just wandering around.
In comparison with the red leaves, the ginkgoes here are far more worth viewing.
Ginkgo biloba, commonly known as ginkgo or gingko, is the only living species in the division Ginkgophyta. It has various uses in traditional medicine and as a source of food.
In the eastern part of the park there is a ginkgo promenade, it turns glittering golden in autumn, which looks even better under the crystal clear blue sky.
The red leaves around the moat are quite beautiful also, since there are not so many visitors here, it is a good place for picnicking.
There is a cute little otter swimming around the moist, maybe a pet of someone.
The castle is open to the public and is easily accessible from Osakajōkōen Station(Japanese: 大阪城公園駅) on the JR West Osaka Loop Line(Japanese: 大阪環状線).
