Chuhuo (Chinese: 出火) is one of the popular scenic spots of Kenting National Park (墾丁國家公園), which is located at Hengchun Township in Pingtung County, Taiwan. The fire emitted from the ground is caused by the leakage of the natural gas.
The best time to visit Chuhuo is evening, the flame shining in the dark looks romantic but mysterious.
The area which emits fire is surrounded by iron chains, but some of the tourists still get inside to take photos.
It is said that some people use the flame to cook or even light the fireworks, such dangerous behaviors are strictly prohibited.
