Erawan National Park (Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณ) is a 550 square kilometers park in western Thailand in the Tenasserim Hills of Kanchanaburi (กาญจนบุรี) Province. The major attraction of the park is the waterfall, the seven-tiered waterfall extends almost 1 kilometer.
Around the main entrance there are many wild monkeys, they are not scared of human beings, if you have food, make sure you hide it well.
Although Erawan National Park has long been a popular tourist attraction, it is still well preserved, and the road signs are very clear, you won’t get lost.
The hiking trail is built along the river, the quality of the water is excellent, you can even see the bottom of the pond.
There are many wild fishes in the pond, they will bite you, not painful but enough to make you feel creepy.
Between the second and third tier of the waterfall, there is a checkpoint, all tourists are not allowed to bring any food or water bottle from this point. If you really need to bring a water bottle, you need to register and lay down a deposit, for the sake of protecting the environment.
