Daming Lake (Chinese: 大明湖), literally means 'Lake of the Great Splendour', is a lake located in the city of Jinan (濟南), Shandong Province (山東省), China. Daming Lake is the largest lake of Jinan and one of the city's main natural and cultural landmarks.
Daming Lake is fed by the artesian karst springs of Jinan and hence retains a fairly constant water level through the entire year.
It is winter now and the lotus flowers in the lake are all withered, but the residuals are still worth admiring.
Daming Lake Park covers a total area of 860,000 square meters of which the lake itself comprises 460,000 square meters.
Unlike other famous scenic spots in China, there is no admission fee for Daming Lake.
The six islands in Daming Lake contain flowers, trees and other plants flourishing amongst the various pavilions.
If tourists want to visit the islands, they have to take the sightseeing boat provided by the park.
