Port Louis (French: Port-Louis) is the capital city of Mauritius, and also the country's economic, cultural and political centre, and most populous city. Port Louis is named in honor of King Louis XV, it became the administrative center of Mauritius and a major reprovisioning halt for French ships in 1736.

Mauritius is an island nation in the Indian Ocean about 2,000 kilometres off the south-east coast of the African continent, it is also a major tourist destination with excellent scenery, especially the seaview.
