Ap Chau (Chinese: 鴨洲; literally means ‘Duck Island') also known as Robinson Island, is an island in the Crooked Harbour (吉澳海), in the north-eastern New Territories of Hong Kong. Ap Chau is part of Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark.
The old name of Ap Chau, Robinson Island, was named after Hercules Robinson, who was the 5th Governor of Hong Kong from 1859 to 1865.
