Gaya Street (Malay: Jalan Gaya) is located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. It is dubbed as the Chinatown of Sabah due to many Chinese coffee shops and restaurants situated there. Keng Wah Hing is one of these Chinese coffee shops which is famous for pastry.
The restaurant has three kinds of pastries: steamed bread, baked bread and shortbread. Their steamed milk bun is smooth and milky, only milk and egg white.
Steamed chicken bun is extremely soft, and the filling inside is tasty and juicy. The last one is bought by Choumeizai, you can see how popular it is.
Baked pineapple bun has many fresh pineapple cubes inside, since they won’t put much sugar, the bun is sweet but still refreshing.
There are two kinds of curry puffs, chicken and beef, the skin is crispy and the butter taste is strong, but there is not much filling.
Unfortunately, the milk tea here is a bit disappointing and tastes quite bad. By the way, besides pastries, this restaurant also sells other foods, but not as popular as their pastries.
