One of these cages houses Golden Monkeys (Rhinopithecus roxellana), which are endemic to a small area in temperate, mountainous forests of central and Southwest China.
Golden Monkeys inhabit the mountainous forests of Shennongjia at elevations of 1,500 to 3,400 meters above sea level.
These monkeys have short stump of a nose on their round faces, with nostrils arranged forward. They have relatively multicolored and long fur, particularly at the shoulders and backs.
Golden Monkeys have long been hunted by human beings for their beautiful furs, now they are the first class national protected animals in China.
There is one man smoking outside the cage, he should be the one to be caged, not the monkey.
