Karen village in Mae Wang
Mae Wang (Thai: แม่วาง) is a district in the central part of Chiang Mai province in northern Thailand. Mae Wang has been isolated for many years and has been the settlement of Karen (Burmease: ကရင်), an ethnolinguistic group of Sino-Tibetan language–speaking peoples.
