Námafjall Geothermal Area of Iceland
Námafjall Geothermal Area is located in Northeast Iceland, on the east side of Lake Mývatn. Námafjall is part of Hverir, a tephra cone or tuff ring volcano in northern Iceland. Hverir erupted in 2500 BP, the crater is approximately 1 km in diameter.
