Jeonju is an important tourist center famous for historic buildings, Choumeizai will introduce Jeondong Cathedral (\uc804\ub3d9\uc131\ub2f9) and Jeonju Pungnammun Gate (\uc804\uc8fc \ud48d\ub0a8\ubb38).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-14-59-45.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-14-52-51.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Jeondong Cathedral, also known as the Old Cathedral of Jeondong, is currently a parish church, belongs to the Diocese of Jeonju (\uc804\uc8fc \uad50\uad6c).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-15-20-04.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-15-20-13.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The cathedral building, of Roman-Byzantine style, was built between 1908 and 1914 by Victor Louis Poisnel (1855-1925).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-15-05-38.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-15-06-00.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The interior of the Jeondong Cathedral is clean and simple, which is different from the Catholic churches in Europe. Pungnammun Gate was the southernmost gate among the four city gates of Jeonju.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-15-16-55.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-15-13-14.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The structure was severely damaged by fire in 1767, followed by the restoration of the gate tower afterwards.
