The building was designed by a German architect and was constructed during the years from 1904 to 1908.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181225-10-35-13.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181225-09-44-04.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The building was the official residence of the German governor-general in the war zone of Jiao Ao (\u81a0\u6fb3). It is the architecture of a classic German castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181225-10-08-17.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181225-10-11-46.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>All interior finishes, furniture and fittings are in excellent condition and almost 100 percent recreate the former splendour of the Kiautschou Governor's Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"488\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181225-10-06-23.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181225-10-04-04.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The weather in Shandong is cold, so there is a heater in the room. In addition, almost every room in the building has a fireplace, and each of them is designed differently and is as beautiful as a work of art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"488\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181225-09-59-05.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"488\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181225-10-09-03.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Building has been occupied and used by the Japanese several times, so many cultural relics related to Japan have been preserved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181225-10-04-18.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181225-10-15-54.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The delicate shape, splendid ornaments, graceful lines and bold colors make the building one of the best examples of monomeric villas in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"488\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181225-09-55-44.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181225-10-13-16.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The building was subsequently used by the Chinese Kuomintang government and, after June 1949, by the People's Republic of China.
