Many emperors of the past dynasties and cultural figures had climbed Mount Tai, leaving behind many historical monuments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181222-15-30-04.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181222-15-35-43.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Religious worship of Mount Tai has a tradition dating back 3,000 years, from the time of the Shang (c. 1600\u20131046 BC) to the Qing Dynasty (1644\u20131912).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181222-15-40-49.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181222-15-42-23.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dedicated to Bixia Yuanjun (\u78a7\u971e\u5143\u541b), Bixia Temple (\u78a7\u971e\u7960) is the largest ancient building complex on Mount Tai. The Bixia Temple was built in the Song (\u5b8b) Dynasty, and was renovated during the Ming (\u660e) and Qing (\u6e05) dynasties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181222-15-49-58.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181222-15-50-38.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Bixia Yuanjun , literally the \"Goddess of the Blue Dawn\", also known as the \"Heavenly Immortal Lady of Jade\" (\u5929\u4ed9\u7389\u5973), is the Great Deity of Mount Tai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181222-15-47-28.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181222-15-51-41.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>According to historical records, Mount Tai became a sacred place visited by emperors to offer sacrifices and meditate in the Zhou (\u5468) Dynasty (1000 BC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181222-15-52-18.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181222-15-53-14.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The tallest peak of Mount Tai is the Jade Emperor Peak (\u7389\u7687\u9802), which is commonly reported as being 1,545 meters tall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181222-16-20-43.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/shandong_2018\/20181222-16-15-03.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mount Tai is known as the eastern mountain of the five sacred mountains of China.
