The temple has over 900 years of history, it is said to be an architectural wonder in a fusion of Mon and adopted Indian style of architecture, also known as \u201cmuseum of stones\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/burma_2016\/20160321-17-25-17.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/burma_2016\/20160321-17-37-58.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The temple houses four standing Buddhas, each one facing the cardinal direction of East, North, West and South.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/burma_2016\/20160321-18-03-45.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/burma_2016\/20160321-18-03-54.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Buddha statues facing north and south are said to be original, while the other two are new replacements, after the originals were destroyed by fires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/burma_2016\/20160321-17-38-09.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/burma_2016\/20160321-17-38-56.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The south-facing Buddha statue depicts Kassapa (Sanskrit: \u0915\u093e\u0936\u094d\u092f\u092a) with a unique architectural display;
