The official name is Kitanosan Shinpuku-ji H\u014dsh\u014d-in (\u5317\u91ce\u5c71\u771f\u798f\u5bfa\u5bf6\u751f\u9662), but is popularly known as \u014csu Kannon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-12-23-50.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-10-49-27.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The temple was originally built in Hashima (\u7fbd\u5cf6) in Gifu Prefecture (\u5c90\u961c\u770c) by the Emperor Go-Daigo (\u5f8c\u918d\u9190\u5929\u7687) in 1333.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-10-51-03.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-10-52-08.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to repeated flooding, the temple was moved to its present location in 1612 by Tokugawa Ieyasu (\u5fb7\u5ddd\u5bb6\u5eb7).In the 1820s, large parts of the temple were destroyed by fire, but it was rebuilt in the 1970s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-10-50-57.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-10-50-55.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the corner of the temple, there is a Doll Offering Tower (\u4eba\u5f62\u4f9b\u990a\u5854), worshippers can place offerings here for the dolls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-12-25-59.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-12-26-02.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Osu Kannon is quite small and the architecture is not impressive, but the temple houses many precious ancient books, including the oldest manuscript of Kojiki (\u53e4\u4e8b\u8a18).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-10-52-45.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-12-24-56.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There is an Asama Shrine (\u6d45\u9593\u795e\u793e) not too far from Osu Kannon.
