Nagoya Castle has also historically been called \"Golden Castle\", since there are two Golden Shachi (\u91d1\u9bf1) on either end of the Tenshu (\u5929\u5b88) roof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-08-58-54.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-08-59-31.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Tenshu is the highest tower within the castle. Tenshu of Nagoya Castle was constructed in 1612 during the Edo (\u6c5f\u6236) period, it was destroyed in 1945 during the bombing in World War II and reconstructed in 1958.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-09-02-33.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-09-04-13.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Golden Shachi is a beast from Japanese mythology used as a fire talisman and was later regarded by the Tokugawa (\u5fb7\u5ddd) family as a symbol of identity and power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-09-06-42.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-09-21-30.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Each floor of Tenshu is an exhibition hall, displaying cultural relics related to Nagoya Castle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-09-10-38.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-09-14-33.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the exhibition of antiques, there are many gadgets for tourists to participate in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-09-15-58.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-09-17-10.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After World War II, the Nagoya City Municipal Government merged the original Nagoya Castle and some surrounding lowlands into Mejio Park (\u540d\u57ce\u516c\u5712), which became the symbol of Nagoya City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-09-12-39.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151021-09-13-05.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a lift in Tenshu, on the top is a viewing floor.
