The bridge dates from the Qing (\u6e05) Dynasty and is considered a historical landmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sichuan_2016\/20161029-10-48-05.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sichuan_2016\/20161029-10-59-34.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Luding Bridge was built in the 46th year of Emperor Kangxi (\u5eb7\u7199) in the Qing Dynasty (1706). The. Ridge is an outstanding work of ancient bridge construction and the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sichuan_2016\/20161029-10-56-02.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"383\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sichuan_2016\/20161029-10-51-34.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the completion of the Luding Bridge, most of the local people crossed the Dadu River by means of bamboo ropes, rattan ropes or nearby ferry ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sichuan_2016\/20161029-10-57-55.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sichuan_2016\/20161029-10-56-35.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Luding Bridge is 103 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and 13 iron chains are fixed. There are 12,164 iron rings in total and a weight of more than 40 tons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sichuan_2016\/20161029-11-01-07.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sichuan_2016\/20161029-11-01-40.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The main body of the Luding Bridge is entirely structured with iron chains, straddling the mountains on both sides of the bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sichuan_2016\/20161029-11-03-17.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sichuan_2016\/20161029-11-05-00.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Guanyin Pavilion (\u89c0\u97f3\u95a3) is built behind the east side of the bridge.
