Kenroku-en is famous for its beauty in all seasons, containing roughly 8,750 trees and 183 species of plants in total, most of them are pines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-10-14-52.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-10-17-02.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kasumi Pond (\u971e\u6c60) is the largest pond in Kenroku-en. There is a small island called Horai Island (\u84ec\u840a\u5cf6) in the pond. Most of the scenic spots in Kenroku-en are around \u200b\u200bKasumi Pond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-10-19-19.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-10-19-27.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many beautiful old pines by Kasumi Pond. Some are like old men fishing, some are like beautiful women grooming, and some are like monks chanting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-10-20-25.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-10-17-34.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The origin of Kenroku-en is unclear, it can perhaps be marked by the completion of the water channel in 1632 by the powerful the Maeda Shi (\u524d\u7530\u6c0f), the daimy\u014ds who ruled the former Kaga Domain (\u52a0\u8cc0\u85e9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-10-18-20.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-10-18-48.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some pine trees are so old that they have to support their trunks with pillars to prevent them from collapsing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-10-19-01.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-10-16-39.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The statue of Yamato Takeru in Kenroku-en has over 100 years of history.
