Shirakawago is well known for its beautiful scenery, especially in the early morning, so it is good to stay there overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-05-56-55.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-06-03-55.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Shirakawago is a famous tourist destination and always packed with tourists, so it would be better to walk around in the peaceful morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-06-22-58.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-06-16-59.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ogimachi (\u837b\u753a) is the largest village and main attraction of Shirakawa-go, the village is home to several dozen well preserved Gassho-zukuri farmhouses, some of which are more than 250 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/info.thetravel.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/20151019-06-53-37.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5659\" srcset=\"https:\/\/info.thetravel.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/20151019-06-53-37.jpg 650w, https:\/\/info.thetravel.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/20151019-06-53-37-510x340.jpg 510w, https:\/\/info.thetravel.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/20151019-06-53-37-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-06-53-22.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Shirakawago is in a mountain region with considerable snowfall, and these villages are well known for their clusters of farmhouses, constructed in the architectural style known as Gassh\u014d-zukuri (\u5408\u638c\u9020\u308a).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151019-07-05-03.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2015a\/20151018-12-17-12.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a viewing platform at the edge of the village, it takes about two or three minutes to walk to the top.
